Market is open Fridays at 9 p.m. through 9 p.m. Mondays!

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION after you finish the checkout process, then your order is NOT complete. Head back to the market page, and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

Once you place an order, be on the lookout for the order reminder email on Wednesday with further pickup and payment notes. Thanks for your support!

Martin's Farmstand:  Asparagus and Spinach

The farm stand will be open this afternoon (May 6,2023) from 12:30 – 5 PM. Spring is here and the overwintered spinach is ready for harvest starting today. We just cut the first bit of asparagus (about a quarter tubful) which will be at the stand starting at 12:30 till it is gone. I also have lots of different herbs such as thyme, mint, oregano, lemon balm, chives and parsley that Deborah is bunching now. She is also harvesting the first rhubarb. From the greenhouse we have lots of tender curly kale and the first heads of lettuce.
Today is the last Saturday using winter hours. Starting Tuesday May 9 summer hours begin. (Tuesday – Saturday 10 AM- 6 PM) WE ARE NOT OPEN ON MONDAY THIS SUMMER (u-pick strawberries will still have the Monday- Wednesday- Saturday schedule as in the past) WE JUDGED WE WISH TO HAVE A TWO DAY WEEKEND FOR BETTER BALANCE IN OUR LIVES. Siloam Springs, AR:  The Online Market is now open!

Join us for Kids Day at the Market!
The 2nd Saturday each month.
9am-12pm
The Power of Produce (POP) Club provides a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. In addition to participating in educational activities, POP Club kids receive POP Club tokens to spend at the market, allowing them to make their own shopping decisions at the market. This program is set-up for ages 3-12.
To participate in this year’s POP Club all you need to do is login to your Locally Grown account, add a “Pop Club Kids Day RSVP” for each participating child to your cart, and check out! This will help us know how many kiddos plan to stop by during Kids Day. Don’t forget, you’ll have to “RSVP” each month.
SiloamSprings.LocallyGrown.net
*Creating an account is easy, if you haven’t already done so! No credit card required to create an account OR to RSVP.

CLG:  Tuesday REMINDER and sad announcement

I’m sad to share that our friend Jess from Wye Mountain Mushroom Farm passed away in an accident. Jess loved his trade, was passionate about nature and the outdoors, and set out to live his life to the fullest. I remember him telling me that, although he loved his business, he took breaks every time he could to go out and enjoy life and it’s adventures. May we all remember to make the most out of the time we have, like Jess did. He will be sorely missed by our community. Please keep him and his loved ones in your thoughts.

Last day to put in your orders for the week.
